12 COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota, including one in Brookings County

Twelve COVID-19 deaths reported Wednesday in the Department of Health weekly update, the statewide total is now 3145. One of this week’s deaths was reported in Brookings County.
There have been 464 new cases statewide in the last week and hospitalizations have increased by five to 57. There have been 273,354 total cases.
In Brookings County, there have been 22 new cases reported in the last week, raising the total to 3,419. There are 19 reported deaths in the county. There is currently one reported hospitalization in Brookings County for COVID-19.
