14 COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Monday, including one in Brookings County

Fourteen COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Monday, the statewide total is now 2371. One of the deaths is from Brookings County.
Active cases in Brookings County increase by two to 214. Sixteen new cases reported Monday. The total is now 5460. Recovered cases are at 5204. There have been 42 deaths in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases increase by 110 to 7682. Total cases increase by 492 to 168,763. There are 158,710 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by one to 246.
Sixty-five percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
