36 COVID-19 deaths reported Friday, including 1 in Brookings County

Thirty-six COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota today as the statewide death toll climbs to 741. One of the deaths is in Brookings County.
Active cases in Brookings County increase by 14 to 505. Total cases are up by 37 to 2204. There have been 15 deaths in Brookings County. The “ever hospitalized” number is at 71. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases increase by 523 to 18,407. Total cases increase by 1328 to 71,070. The number of people who have recovered is 51,922. Current hospitalizations decrease by 4 to 574.
