730 COVID-19 cases in South Dakota, 8 total in Brookings County

There are now 730 confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Dakota with 104 reported Sunday. The state stands at six deaths from coronavirus.

Brookings County was listed at 7 cases on Friday, that was changed back to 6 on Saturday, but two additional cases were reported Sunday. Brookings County is currently at 8 cases with 6 recovered. The County is listed as community spread, in the minimal/moderate category.

There is community spread in 19 counties, that remains unchanged.

There have been 7823 negative tests and 197 people have recovered from the virus.

Minnehaha County saw another big jump and now stands at 527 confirmed cases. A large number of those (293) are connected to Smithfield Foods.
