Brookings, S.D. – Jan. 3, 2020 – Alejandra Navid Garcia Martinez arrived at 12:54 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2020, making her the first baby of the New Year – and new decade – born at Brookings Health System.
Alejandra is the daughter of Maricela Martinez and Luis Garcia of Brandt, S.D., and is now the youngest of four children. She joins oldest sister, Maria Guadalupe, older brother Luis Eduardo, and older sister Maria Isabel. She weighed six pounds and five ounces and measured 18.75 inches long. Mother and baby are both doing well.
