Brookings County Commission hires architect for replacement of courthouse roof

The Brookings County Commission hires an architect to begin work on plans for replacement of the courthouse roof.
designARC Group LLC of Brookings will analyze any structural and cosmetic damages and then handle the design, bidding and construction administration of a new roof, not including the dome area. They’ll also deal with the needed approvals from the South Dakota Historic Preservation Office. designARC will be paid an initial fee of $35,000.
The county hopes to have the project ready for bids by the fall.
