Fall enrollment down slightly at SDSU, increases system-wide

Fall enrollment at South Dakota State University is down slightly from last year. Total headcount is 11,331, down one-point-two percent from last fall.
Overall, at South Dakota’s six public universities headcount is nearly 1-percent higher system-wide than the previous academic year, totaling 33,690 students. Regents Executive Director Brian Maher says the first-year student total is 5,208, up 6.3% from last year.

The freshman headcount at SDSU is 2192, the largest freshman class at SDSU since 2017.
