Juvenile facing possible charges after pointing BB gun at another juvenile

A juvenile male is facing potential charges after pointing a BB gun at another teen.

Assistant Police Chief Derrick Powers says it was reported just before 10:00 o’clock Friday night on Main Avenue.

A juvenile male called 911 to report he was driving south on Main when another vehicle pulled up next to them and the juvenile male driver pointed a gun at him. Powers says this was also witnessed by a passenger. The teen knew the suspect.

Police responded and were able to locate the suspect vehicle. It was parked on the 200 block of Main Avenue South. A passerby told police two people had run from the vehicle.

They were found a short time later and turned over to their parents.

Powers says a BB gun was found in the vehicle. He says a report has been forwarded to the States Attorney for possible charges.
