Nine COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Thursday. The total is now 2142.
Active cases in Brookings County decrease by five to 259. Fourteen new cases reported, raising the total to 4933. Recovered cases are at 4637. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases decrease by 23 to 7388. Total cases are up by 474 to 145,018. There are 135,488 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations increase by nine to 214.
Sixty-four percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
