No additional COVID-19 deaths in South Dakota as active cases climb

No additional COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota over the three-day holiday weekend and the total stands at 50.
Active cases increased by 82 to 1121.
Total positive cases increased by 230 to 4586. Increases were expected as results come in from the mass testing of South Dakota nursing homes. The number of people who have recovered is 3415 and current hospitalizations are at 99. The “ever hospitalized” category is at 370. A total of 30,697 negative tests have been reported in the state.
Brookings County has one new active case and is at 15 total. There have been 591 negative tests reported from the county.
