No COVID-19 deaths today as active cases drop but hospitalizations jump

No COVID-19 deaths reported today in South Dakota, the total remains 184.
Active cases in Brookings County drop by 27 and are now down to 98. The overall case count is up 3 to 603. There has been one death in Brookings County and eight hospitalizations. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases decrease by 113 to 2386. Total positive cases increase by 195 and are now at 16,994. The number of people who have recovered is 14,424. Current hospitalizations increase by 23 to 133.
