Gov. Kristi Noem has made two more appointments to the South Dakota Legislature.
She tapped Rep. Kyle Schoenfish, R-Scotland, for a Senate seat and named Marty Overweg of New Holland to fill Schoenfish’s seat in the House. Overweg owns and operates Overweg Feed and Wagner Feed Supply.
Schoenfish fills the Senate vacancy left by Stace Nelson’s resignation. Schoenfish has served in the House since 2013.
The 2020 legislative session starts next week.
