The South Dakota Department of Transportation, in collaboration with the City of Brookings and the Federal Highway Administration will hold a public meeting and open house from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 30 on the exit 133 interchange modification study.

It’ll be held in the third-floor chambers of the Government Center.

The corridors being studied include Interstate 29 from Exit 132 to one-half mile north of exit 133 and the U.S. Highway 14 Bypass from east of Jackrabbit Avenue to U.S. Highway 14.

The purpose of the public meeting is to introduce preliminary interchange and crossroad concepts to the public and gather input on those concepts. Written comments will be accepted until Friday, April 14, 2023.

The prerecorded presentation and open house displays will also be available online at the study website starting the day of the public meeting. The meeting will also be streamed through a link on that website.
