SD Ed Secretary named next President of Lake Area Technical College

A member of South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem’s cabinet has been named the new president of Lake Area Technical College.
The Watertown School Board Wednesday unanimously approved the hiring of South Dakota Department of Education SecretaryTiffany Sanderson.
Sanderson is a Lemmon native, holds degrees from both SDSU and USD, and currently serves as the She had earlier served as a senior policy advisor to Governor Noem.
Sanderson’s start date is January 1st. She’ll be the 6th president in the history of Lake Area Tech.
She replaces Mike Cartney, who is retiring at the end of the year.
