SUV lost in fire on I29

The Brookings Fire Deptartment and Brookings County Sheriff’s Office respond to a vehicle fire on Intertsate 29.
It happened near the Brookings exit at about 3:00 o’clock Wednesday afternoon.
Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says the driver noticed smoke coming from the engine compartment of their 2000 Chevy Blazer.
The driver stopped the vehicle, which became engulfed in flames.
The Brookings Fire Department extinguished the fire but the vehicle was a total loss. The fire is under investigation.
