Three COVID-19 deaths reported over the weekend as active cases increase

Three COVID-19 deaths reported over the weekend in South Dakota, raising the state’s total to 62.
Active cases increased by 31 to 1094.
Total positive cases increased by 127 to 4993. This as mass testing results continue to come in from the state’s nursing homes and one reservation. The number of people who have recovered is 3837 and current hospitalizations are at 86. The “ever hospitalized” category is at 432. A total of 39,135 negative tests have been reported.
There is one active case in Brookings County abnd 16 total. There have been 676 negative tests reported from the county.
