Three COVID-19 deaths reported Thursday in South Dakota along with another big jump in cases

Three COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Thursday, the total is now 1927.

Active cases in Brookings County increase by 8 to 111. Total cases increase by 16 to 3750. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3,602 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 134. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases increase by 78 to 2428. Total cases increased by 263 to 116,624. The number of people who have recovered is 112,269. Current hospitalizations increase by 2 to 74.

Some 366,972 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 228,659 people. A total of 11,128 doses have been given in Brookings County to 7791 people.
