Three COVID-19 deaths reported Tuesday in South Dakota

Three additional COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota today. The state now stands at 24 total fatalities with 19 of them, including all three today, in Minnehaha County.

The South Dakota Department of Health now reports 2721 total cases of COVID-19 with 53 reported today. Of those, 802 are active cases. The number of active cases is down 15 from Monday.

The Department reports 1895 people have recovered and 220 are in the “ever hospitalized” category. Current hospitalizations are at 75. There have been 16,301 negative tests.

Brookings County remains at 13 cases with none of them active. There have been 376 negative tests conducted in Brookings County. The county has moved from “substantial” community spread to the “minimal to moderate” category.
