Troopers vehicle hit during traffic stop in Watertown

No injuries reported in a Sunday afternoon accident in Watertown involving a South Dakota Highway Patrol vehicle.
It happened just after 4:00 p.m. at South Dakota Highway 20 near Airport Drive.
A trooper was conducting a traffic stop with the patrol vehicle stopped on the shoulder of the highway. The rear-facing amber light bar was activated on the SUV.
An approaching pickup truck driven by a 91 year-old Henry man did not move over far enough and hit the SUV. The trooper was inside at the time but was not hurt.
The Henry man was cited for causing an accident with a stopped emergency vehicle and driving without a valid license.
