Vehicle thefts under investigation in White

The Brookings County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a series of thefts from vehicles in White.
Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says four were reported this week. Items stolen from the vehicles include two handguns, wallets and a purse. It has involved unlocked vehicles parked on 4th and 5th Streets in White. The thefts are all believed to have occurred sometime this week.
Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department or Crime Stoppers at 692-STOP.
