16 COVID-19 deaths and 700 new active cases in South Dakota since Friday

Sixteen new COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota since Friday, the total is now 323.
Active cases in Brookings County go up by 56 over the weekend to 317. The overall case count is up 90 to 1199. There have been 2 deaths in Brookings County and current hospitalizations remain at 4. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases go up by 700 over the weekend to 8012. Total cases increase by 1464 to 33,269 The number of people who have recovered is 24,934. Current hospitalizations increase by one since Friday to 300.
