South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says a South Dakota Penitentiary inmate was convicted Thursday on three charges including possession of a weapon and making threats against a correctional officer.

He says 31-year-old Roland Miner was convicted by a Minnehaha County jury.

The incident occurred November 5th of 2022.

A sentencing date has not yet been set. Miner faces a maximum up to 25-years on the new convictions. He’s currently serving two sentences out of Minnehaha County for Intentional Damage to Property and Simple Assault on Law Enforcement.
