Brookings County Sheriff’s Dept. investigating tire slashing

The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office is investigating tires being slashed on a pickup that was left near the edge of a field west of Oakwood Lakes State Park.

A farmer had left the pickup parked overnight after loading round bales. The next morning, two of the tires were found to have been intentionally slashed. Damage is estimated at about $500.

It happened on 204th Street near 458th sometime between 8:00 o’clock Monday night and 10:00 o’clock Tuesday morning.
