Foul play ruled out in fire at Bryant business

The Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office says foul play has been ruled out in a fire last month at W.W. Tire on West Main Street in Bryant.

The early morning blaze on October 19th resulted in fire damage to a portion of the building, and smoke damage throughout.

Sheriff Chad Schlotterbeck says the State Fire Marshal’s Office investigated and determined it began as an electrical fire in a truck that was parked inside the building undergoing repairs.

The fire spread to the fuel tank on the truck, destroying and two other trucks parked along side.

There were no injuries.
