Four COVID-19 deaths reported Wednesday in South Dakota

Four COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Wednesday, increasing the state’s total to 54. Two of those deaths were reported in Minnehaha County, one in Brown County and one in Todd County.

Active cases dropped by 38 to 1037.

Total positive cases increased by 57 to 4710. The number of people who have recovered is 3619 and current hospitalizations are at 101. The “ever hospitalized” category is at 391. A total of 33,296 negative tests have been reported in the state.

Brookings County remains at one active case and 15 total. There have been 618 negative tests reported from the county.
