Four-year-old saved from drowning in Brookings

A 4-year-old boy is saved from drowning in Brookings.
Police Lt. Marci Gebers says dispatch received a call at about 5:15 Saturday afternoon that a child was drowning at a location on the 2500 block of 6th Street.
Gebers says when officers arrived, CPR was already in progress and the boy was breathing. Gebers says she’s not sure who it was that performed CPR but she does not believe it was emergency personnel.
The boy was taken by ambulance to the Brookings hospital.
