Girl injured in Volga vehicle/bicycle accident

A 10-year-old girl was injured in a Saturday afternoon vehicle-bicycle accident in Volga.
According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, it happened at about 5:20 p.m. at Highway 14 and Kasan Avenue.
The Patrol says the girl riding the bicycle entered the intersection in front of a Jeep and the driver could not stop.
The girl was taken by ambulance to the Brookings hospital and alter airlifted to Sioux Falls with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
No charges are pending.
