Nate Holden files for Brookings City Council

The 1st person has filed for one of two Brookings City Council seats up for election this year.

Nate Holden has filed to run for City Counicil in the April 13th election. The seats currently held byCouncil Members Patty Bacon and Nick Wendell are up this year.

Current City Council Member Ope Niemeyer earlier filed for Mayor. Niemeyer won reelection to the council last year.

Current Mayor Keith Corbett is not seeking reelection.

On the school side, the seats currently held by board members Debra DeBates and Roger DeGroot are up this year. No one has yet filed for School Board.

Nominating petitions must be filed by Friday, February 26 by 5:00 p.m.
