One COVID-19 death reported in South Dakota Tuesday as active cases continue to fall

 

One COVID-19 death reported in South Dakota Tuesday. The total is 2023.

Active cases in Brookings County drop by two and are down to two. There are no new cases, the total remains 4231. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County and there are 4192 recovered cases. The County is in the “moderate” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases go down by 13 to 229. Total cases increase by 29 to 124,302. There are 122,050 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations increase by 3 to 43.

Fifty-five percent of the state has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Some 662,743 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 355,968 people. A total of 26,581 doses have been given in Brookings County to 14,523 people.
