Tthe City of Brookings is holding a public meeting on Monday, March 4 on possible flood mitigation measures for Six-Mile Creek.

The public meeting is scheduled on a feasibility study is set for for 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Brookings City and County Government Center in the Council Chambers.

A presentation by City staff and consulting engineers will kick off the meeting. There will be time for questions and feedback.

The goal of the Six-Mile Creek Feasibility Study is to identify structural mitigation options to improve flood resilience along the Six-Mile Creek corridor within the City.

City Public Works Director John Thompson says they want to reduce future losses to structures and public infrastructure along the creek.
