Search under way for missing teen

An extensive search effort is under way for 17-year-old Wyatt Rowland who has been missing from the Miller area since late Saturday night.

Hand County Sheriff Shane Croeni says multiple agencies and volunteers are assisting with the search that has been focused on the Lake Louise area.

Rowland’s phone was last pinpointed north of Miller. It appears his phone was about dead, and officials are unsure if he had a charger.
The South Dakota Wing of the Civil Air Patrol is also assisting with the search in Hand and Hyde Counties which has involved four airplanes, a helicopter, several drones, and volunteers on horseback and ATVs.
