Three people killed in explosion and fire in North Sioux City, SD

Three people are dead after an explosion and fire at a home in Sioux City, South Dakota.

Upon arrival Saturday morning, firefighters and EMS found the structure to be fully engulfed by flames.

Authorities found the bodies of the three residents inside the structure. Names have not been released pending notification of family.

The fire is still under investigation.

The state Fire Marshal says the cause of the fire was determined to be a propane explosion.

Fire departments from throughout the surrounding area were called to assist.
