Two Brookings businesses fail latest alcohol compliance checks

The Brookings Police Department Conducted Alcohol Compliance Checks Thursday.
Of the ten businesses that were checked, two establishment’s failed and sold an alcoholic beverage to an underage buyer.
The two that failed were BP gas station at 2420 6th Street, and Schoon’s Pump N’ Pak at 202 Main Avenue South.
The employee who sold the alcohol can be cited for furnishing alcohol to a minor and the business face possible fines and sanctions from the South Dakota Department of Revenue.
