Two COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Monday as cases continue to climb

Two new COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Monday, the total is now 288.

Active cases in Brookings County go up by eight to 189. The overall case count is up by 13 to 997. There have been 2 deaths in Brookings County and the “ever hospitalized” category is at 19. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases go up by 197 to 6062. Total cases increase by 359 (344 confirmed and 15 probable) to 28,925. The number of people who have recovered is 22,575. Current hospitalizations increased by twelve to 278.
