Two COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Thursday

Two COVID-19 deaths were reported in South Dakota Thursday, raising the state’s total to 48. One of the deaths was from Minnehaha County, the other was from Pennington County.

Active cases dropped by 51 to 1057.

Total positive cases increased by 73 to 4250. The number of people who have recovered is 3145 and current hospitalizations are 91. The “ever hospitalized” category is at 342. A total of 27,051 negative tests have been reported in the state.

Brookings County remains at 14 cases with none of them active. There have been 530 negative tests reported from the county.
