A Watertown woman has been sentenced to nearly five-years in federal prison for distributing fentanyl.

Twenty-nine-year-old Taylor Hoff was given four years and nine months in prison, followed by five-years of supervised release.

Hoff was indicted for Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance by a federal grand jury in April and pleaded guilty to the charge in July.

Hoff obtained pills containing fentanyl from a co-conspirator on front and re-sold them in northeastern South Dakota, including on the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate reservation.

Hoff was immediately remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
