Woman killed in Friday crash near Wagner

An 89-year-old woman has died as a result of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on the evening of Friday May 3, two miles east of Wagner in Charles Mix County.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol reports the driver of a pickup was traveling eastbound on SD Highway 46. An eastbound SUV was in front of the pickup and slowed to turn into a driveway.

The pickup driver did not see the SUV and rear-ended the vehicle. The SUV driver was taken by ambulance to Wagner Community Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The pickup driver had minor injuries.
