ID released in fatal crash near Mitchell

A 63-year-old Mitchell man has been identified as the person who died Saturday morning in a two vehicle crash one mile south of that city on Highway 37.

According to the South Dakota Highway patrol, a car driven by Harlan Dale Miller was stopped or nearly stopped in the southbound lane of the highway. A southbound pickup struck the car and both vehicles ended up in the ditch.

Miller was pronounced deceased at the scene; a passenger received non-life-threatening injuries

The driver of the pickup was not hurt.
