Pierre man indicted for murder in stabbing death of 17-year-old

A Pierre man has been indicted on First Degree Murder and Second Degree Murder charges for the November 30th stabbing death of a Rapid City teen.
Twenty-three-year-old David Shangreaux, Jr. was also indicted on an Aggravated Assault charge. The indictment from a Hughes County Grand Jury was handed down Tuesday.
The person killed in the incident has been identified as 17-year-old Evie Maxey of Rapid City.
Shangreaux, Jr. is being held on a $300,000 cash bond in the Hughes County Jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 16th.
